Team Cartecay
Who We Are
Our team is comprised of private, public, and homeschool student athletes, both boys and girls in grades 6 through 12, from Gilmer and surrounding counties. Team Cartecay competes in Georgia Cycling.
In 2025, Team Cartecay launches the Gilmer Trail Ranger Program to introduce mountain biking to 3rd-5th graders.

Home to National Cycling Association National Coach of the Year, Georgia Cycling Association Coach of the Year, National Double Goal Coach Award, and Georgia Cycling Association Out of the Saddle Award winners.
Home of three Spirit of NICA Award Winners; the 2023 & the 2021 Trailblazer Award Winners; as well as 11 Top Five Point Series Winners; 21 Top Ten Point Series Winners; and the 2017 Sophomore Girls’ State Champion.
The 2024 5th Ranked Eastern Conference & 7th Ranked at State Championship. The 2023 3rd Ranked Eastern Conference & 5th Ranked at State Championship. The 2022 4th Ranked Eastern Conference & 8th Ranked at State Championship.
